Merry Christmas to everyone from Middle Earth!
Hope everyne has a great day and please stay safe!
Heres who we caught on camera in our living room last night!
So all of this is not going to be build items, lets face it most of it wont be, but whats Christmas without finding goodies for our simmies!
I’m sure Im correct in saying that a go to site for anything Christmas is Blackpearl Sims. Not only are the creators exceptional at what they come up with, it always looks lovely too!
Here’s a few sets I found:
Tinkle (IMO) is the queen of Christmas sets. She has made such wonderful items in a variety of styles!
A Peasants Christmas
Trim a Tree

Plus Many more by Tinkle go check out her profile at BPS! Tinkle
Christmas dinner by Hannie
One of my favourite items is this leg lamp by Dot, it may not be Christmas but it comes from my favourite Christmas movie of all time – The Christmas Story! When I want to get into the Christmas spirit I just pop on this movie and, for me Christmas has started! What I really love is my 6 year old also loves it, so I’m thinking its going to be a Christmas tradition in our house to pop it on!
HugeLunatic also made a painting of it
Nash has made a lovely Christmas set
SIMcredible has a few Christmas sets
Christmas Cupcakes by OnebillionPixals
It has been kindly pointed out that these are for TS3, silly me!
They have been converted by Moxxa but sadly no Christmas ones.
MustLuvCatz also has done some fabulous sets

And whats Christmas without Sants Sleigh!!!! By hexameter
Just because I felt in a festive mood I decorated one of my houses, dont do this often, and after how long it takes (Im still not finished) I see why I dont do it often!
Its taken me 3 days to put this post together, have just been flat out at home and work! We had our figure skating Ice Show – The Ice Queen (based on ‘Frozen’ of course!) Even though I was working didnt get to see any of it, heard the music from frozen though – over and over and over again!!! I am all Frozen out!! Time to get my dinner and then wrap the last of the pressies!
Have a Very Merry Christmas everyone and stay safe!
If you’re a Jane Austen fan you will understand the title! And thats what we are finding today – Fireplaces, some large some small, some to give her ladyship a good blaze!
Fireplaces have come along way since the game first came out. Theres some amazing ones around! One of my faves is just a simple deco fireplace from Avalon
Theres a heap of recolours and retextures for this fireplace around the sims community
Another beautiful deco fireplace is this one by Ireland4Brains
This is another that has quite a few recolours for it
For deco fireplaces you can get logs by Sunni to pop into it so then your deco fireplace becomes a usable one!
A lovely modern looking fireplace is this one by Tiggy
And another great modern one is this by Ulmille
This mid century fireplace by HugeLunatic is great for outdoor settings! (Also indoor I just prefer it outdoors!)
For a large fireplace to make a statement theres this one by Ella
If you’re running ou of room but still want the comforting blaze then maybe this nice corner fireplace by DerMarcel is right for you!
Heres a stunning cast iron fireplace by Gabihime
Cassandre has a lovely fireplace in this set, you can just see part of it in one picture, have included a full picture from Angies recolours.
For those that play a medieval hood theres some fireplaces as cooking stoves from Nixnivis
Need some chimney pots to give a more authentic look then theres a few around
As usual sometimes I want something completely different and cant find it, so then I look around for what I can use to make something thats functional and looks good.
Like this Fireplace I made in one of my lots
To make this I just made a 1×1 box and then used Tiggys cut outs bit of brick paint and the logs by Sunni that I linked to previously. Presto something a little bit different and functional!
On that note, I am done for the morning, have one very sick little man at home who is finally having a nap so I will go do the same!
Take care all
Every house needs a roof, and, lets face it, EA’s are very boring! I decided to start this post when I saw a WCIF at BPS just now for a certain roof, to be exact this quite old download from Blue Texas Bonnie
Some recolours and also the meshes DOWNLOAD recolours are by Christobel
If you looking for a run down roof then Sims 2 Collage is the way to go! Few different versions here, also some good one if you play a medieval hood
A really fantastic looking roof window set to create a rounded skylight look is this amazing set by Julsfels. The page to download is really confusing, you may find it easier to go through this thread at BPS as it explains everything pretty well. Also looks like a bit of an understanding with the CFE cheat is required!
Im pretty sure Ive added this in somewhere before, but it really is a fantastic roof set and deserves another mention! Psychosims urban roofs, You just gotta try it if you havnt!
If you want a no hassle skylight without using CFE or glass floor tiles then you want Lethes greenhouse set
If you want to weatherproof the skylight then use invisible floor tiles under the roof piece.
If you like the empire type roof that came with AL but wanted shorter pieces then you need the dl from whitewaterwood
Another great creation from Julsfels is additional roof pieces for the AL and MG roof, now you can have diagonal pieces!
To get rid of the ugly EAxis roof trim then use Phaenohs white roof trim.
Want to make that perfect Church but not use CFE, then you need Steeple roofs from Die Sims 2
Sometimes with all the roof possibilities you still may not be able to find one you reall want. There are some really great tutes for using CFE and creating your own interesting roof line.
Triciamanley has one for sloped windows to build some skylights
This one by Jonsei is for a curved arched roof. I decided to change it up a bit and make the arch roof the focal point for my house
Another great tute by Jonesi for a custom made roof with skylights is this one.
As you can see theres lots of different options you can use, and quite often the roof you use makes the house. Dont be scared to give CFE a go either to try and create an interesting custom roof, it can be alot of fun!
Have a great week
